Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Launches New Corporate Identity
Myrtle Beach, SC (PRWeb) February 1, 2007 -- To celebrate their 40th anniversary this year, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday recently unveiled a new corporate identity and logo design which are currently featured in an advertising campaign that debuted January 15 and a redesigned Web site to be launched this spring.
Also part of the anniversary celebration, Golf Holiday published the inaugural Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Magazine which will serve as the ultimate source for both golfers new to the Grand Strand and longtime guests. Keeping the information about Myrtle Beach golf courses, golf package providers and golf schools formerly found in the Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday Planning Guide, the size of the Magazine was increased significantly as eight golf and travel writers contributed an additional 28 pages of editorial articles on golf tips, golf etiquette, area events and tournaments, Grand Strand restaurants and attractions to enjoy and the history of the area. Also added in 2007 were an extra 34 photographs of Grand Strand courses to help golfers find the perfect sites for their next round. For the first time, market advertisers appear in the Magazine to reach Myrtle Beach's avid golf audience.
For those who want to view the magazine immediately, the online version of the Magazine is available on the Golf Holiday Web site, www.GolfHoliday.com, and allows golfers to navigate by turning pages as a reader would do with a book. The Magazine features pages at full size and in thumb-nail sketches for quicker review. Golfers can utilize the zoom feature to better view the information and photographs as well as bookmark pages of interest for later reference and to email friends.
"We felt that the time was right to introduce a fresh new corporate identity which included a modern Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday logo and the new Magazine," said Bill Golden, Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday's vice president and director of marketing.
"More and more golfers are utilizing the Internet to research golf destinations but we feel that there is a demand for a print piece to complement our online efforts. When we unveil the redesigned Web site later this spring, we believe that GolfHoliday.com will be the most informative site for golfers planning their next golf vacation.
"Golf Holiday is considered the predominant golf destination marketer in the world but we can't be satisfied with our accomplishments. Almost four million rounds of golf are recorded along the Grand Strand each year and we are constantly striving for more effective methods to reach more golfers. With an unparalled nine "Top 100" golf courses located along the Grand Strand, no other golf destination in the United States can match the quality of golf found in Myrtle Beach."
Golf Holiday published its first guide in 1967 with eight golf courses and 10 hotels featured and a distribution list of 20,000 golfers. Forty years later, the 2007 Magazine has grown to 128 pages with 77 golf courses and 72 golf package providers featured and 250,000 copies to be mailed to golfers around the world.
